Restore Chat, Deleted Messages, powered by: 12d Technology helps users retrieve notifications or media deleted by the sender. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information.

How the App Works?

The app saves notifications locally using Notification Access. We never collect personal information. Messages deleted before installation or when notifications are disabled cannot be recovered.

Information We Collect

• User-provided details (support, feedback)
• Device info (model, OS, IP) for technical support
• Analytics (session length, feature usage)

No Personal Data Collection

• We do not read or access your chat database.
• We do not collect passwords, contacts, or account information.
• We do not send or store your data on any external server.

Permissions

To deliver core features and ensure smooth functionality, the Application may request the following permissions:

• Internet – for showing ads, updates, and secure communication.
• Post Notifications – to notify you about recovered messages or app updates.
• Bind Notification Listener Service – required to detect incoming and deleted notifications/messages in order to recover them.
  This permission is essential for the app to deliver its main feature — recovering deleted messages. We do not use this permission to read or collect personal information.
• Read External Storage – enables the app to read media files saved on your device for processing or viewing.
• Write External Storage – allows the app to save downloaded files and media onto your device.
• Foreground Service – required to continuously monitor notifications in real-time so the app can detect and recover deleted messages.
  If the service is stopped, file changes may go undetected, leading to permanent loss of files that cannot be recovered.
• Foreground Service Special Use – enables continuous background operation when the app is actively running, ensuring deleted messages and backups stay up to date (for Android 14+).
• Request Ignore Battery Optimizations – lets the app ask you to disable battery optimizations, helping background tasks run without being killed by the system.

We do not collect, store, or share any personal data from these permissions with third parties. The app only accesses notification data and local device storage, and does not read actual chat content directly from other apps or servers.

Limitations

While the App is designed to help you recover deleted messages through notification access, there are certain limitations to its functionality. Please note the following:

• No recovery for messages deleted before install
• No recovery if notifications are off
• Encrypted/hidden media cannot be recovered

Data Storage & Security

• All saved data (notifications and media) remains only on your device.
• We do not upload, sell, or share any personal information to third parties.
• You can clear all saved data anytime from within the App or by uninstalling it.

Log Data

If the app experiences errors or crashes, log data may be collected via third-party tools such as Firebase. This data can include your device IP address, model, operating system version, app settings, time/date of usage, and diagnostic details.

In-App Purchases

Our app offers in-app purchases, which are securely processed through Google’s payment system. We do not access your financial information. We only receive non-financial details, such as your name and the in-app items you have purchased.

Children’s Privacy
